OUR PARTNERS

Ella’s is a London-based organisation working with women who have survived trafficking and sexual exploitation.
Its mission is to ensure survivors have all they need to recover and build lives that are safe and free.
How we play our part
A few years ago we launched The Hub, a coffee space for everyone to enjoy. We’re open every weekday, Monday to Friday, from 9.00am - 1.00pm (9am-12pm on Fridays). We serve delicious coffee with a proportion of the money you spend on each coffee supporting Ella’s. Since starting we’ve helped to raise over £8,200. We’ve also had the privilege of equipping some of Ella’s community with barista skills to help serve coffee to the people of Balham. Come and pop in and play your part in growing this ministry by simply ordering an Americano, Cappuccino or Latte!
Our Christmas Appeal
Each year we work in collaboration with Ella’s to provide Christmas gift boxes for every woman they work with and their children. Often these women are establishing lives with very little, so we want them to know they’re loved and special. Christmas 2024 was no different and we were amazed by our community’s generosity!
We’re so grateful to have such a buzzing weekday community of up to 2,000 people involved in various groups and classes. With our Church family, we all worked together by handing out shopping lists, spreading the word, volunteering to pack and received an overwhelming amount of donations from individuals to entire streets, schools, choirs and local businesses.
One volunteer said: “It has taken a little one-person gift and transformed it into a miracle of cheer and kindness.”
Thanks to our AMAZING community we were able to gift 50 women and 45 children Christmas gifts who may not otherwise have received anything.
Thank you for helping make this possible! We already can’t wait to do it all again next year!

In November 2024, we joined the Restored Beacon Network, becoming the first church in London to do so, committed to changing the story for survivors of domestic abuse.
We're a community that stands against injustice and we believe anyone affected by domestic violence shouldn't have to walk alone. That's why we have a team of specially-trained Balham Baptist Church volunteers who can offer free and confidential practical and emotional support for victims and survivors in the form of prayer, a listening service or signposting and referral information on local support agencies in Wandsworth and beyond.
If you've been affected by domestic abuse, know someone who is, or simply have a question about our Restored partnership, contact Donna White, our Restored Beacon Coordinator, who can talk to you more about our available in-house and online support.
Alternatively, speak to one of our Team Leaders throughout our buildings.
Our support offer is growing all the time, so watch this space for more details.
Beyond these two churches we partner with other organisations in London and beyond, each of which you can read about more below.
Other Partners
Little Village
Little Village provides support to families with babies and young children living in poverty right across London. Through their baby banks, as well as wider support networks, they exist to broaden the support for families who need it and be a voice for change. At Balham Baptist Church we champion the work of Little Village and have our own Baby Bank drop-off point. Get in touch to know more.
Baptists Together
As a church we are members of Baptists Together. Being part of the wider UK Baptist family gives us a place to call home, as well as provides spaces for us to connect with others, be supported in the work we do and partner with other churches to serve our local communities.
BMS
We also support our church family across the world, through the vision and work of BMS, which exists to mobilise people, resources and skills across the global church to share the good news of Jesus and practical hope where it’s needed most.
