Senior Pastor - Steve Rouse
I have been leading the church at Balham for the past 14 years - I love it in London. I came to Balham from Frinton On Sea in Essex. Yes I am an Essex boy but don't hold that against me.
I spent the first 10 years of my work life as a bricklayer but then God called me into Church Leadership - it's a long story so if you want to know more come and ask me sometime!
I am married to the beautiful Leisa - we have been married for 21 years. We have two great children: Brianna who is 13 years old and our son Jackson who is 11 years old. I enjoy watching 'Miranda' with both of them - no seriously I do!
I enjoy sports and am currently working on my triathlon skills: Cycling, running and swimming. I enjoy music (Ben Harper is my favourite artist) and going out to eat with my wife. We like going to the theatre and watching chick flicks on a Monday night (I'm not allowed to watch action stuff - well that's not true as we like watching 24 together)

Associate Pastor - Charles Hassell
I have been part of Balham Baptist for more years than I dare tell you - but it was in 2001 that God called me from within the church to become the 2nd Minister of the church.
Before that happened, I started out as a teacher, in a middle school in Merton, and then I had been running my own business as a Computer Consultant - so yes I am a Computer Geek but hey, God can use all of us.
I am married to the wonderful Maralyn and we have been together for 37 years. We have two daughters: Leanne & Zoe who are both grown up and have left home - well almost, they keep returning when they need to!
My hobbies are watching films, keeping up with current affairs and enjoying Formula 1 & MotoGP racing.
