Pensioners Centre
Started in 1987 the Centre offers a drop-in facility, providing lunches, snacks and light refreshments. We also organise social, recreational and therapeutic activities, regular outings and occasional holidays. The atmosphere of the Centre is relaxed and informal, the surroundings cosy and comfortable.
Opening Times
The Pensioners Centre is open on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10.30am – 3.30pm. Tuesday and Friday from 10.30am – 2pm. Lunch is available from 12.00 noon to 1.00 pm each day. A three-course meal costs £5.00. Arrangements can be made for particular dietary needs if required.
A weekly programme of afternoon activities includes a choir, bingo sessions, keep fit, games, quizzes, visiting speakers and entertainers, etc.
Regular outings are arranged, mainly during the summer months. These can be to the seaside, places of interest, local garden centres, or shopping centres.
